Meet Shelby
The Shelby's Grace Foundation was created to honor Shelby Grace McKillip and her simple mission:
Love Big and Help Others.
Shelby Grace McKillip was diagnosed with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) when she was 15 years old. Through the course of being treated for POTS, Shelby and her family discovered the lack of awareness and information there was about the syndrome. Despite her challenges with POTS symptoms, Shelby was determined to make the most out of life. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Abilene Christian University and climbed Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh, Scotland. Shelby was determined to reach the highest of heights despite having POTS. On October 9, 2020, Shelby died unexpectedly from a pulmonary embolism. She was 24 years old. In her short, but impactful life her purpose was to help others. From mission trips overseas to helping people in her own community she wanted to make people feel seen, valued and loved. The Shelby's Grace Foundation has one critical mission: To make people feel seen, valued and loved by creating POTS awareness and helping those in need. The McKillip family and friends invite you to honor Shelby and her legacy of helping others by supporting the Shelby's Grace Foundation.
The story's not over, it's just beginning.
"All that's left to say is love without ceasing
and be thankful to God for everything."
